Home Decor Lovers Will Be Able To Shop At West Elm In Scarsdale

Home furnishings retailer West Elm will open a new retail store at 678 Post Road in Scarsdale on June 28. Located in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center, the Scarsdale store will be the first to offer the brand’s complete Fall collection featuring new furniture, textiles, decorative accessories and gifts created in collaboration with artists from South Africa.

To celebrate the store opening, the brand is hosting a special sweepstakes* offering a chance to win a $2,000 shopping spree and access to a special pre-opening event benefiting , a local non-profit dedicated to supporting cultural organizations and artist residencies in the community.

“We are excited to open a store in Scarsdale, an area that embraces local artists and design as much as we do,” said Jim Brett, president of West Elm. “The new Fall collection is one of my personal favorites, and we’re looking forward to launching it first at the Vernon Hills store.”

West Elm’s Fall collection showcases the rich color palette and varied design influences of 16 of South Africa’s premiere artisans including furniture designer John Vogel, ceramicist Gemma Orkin, and the artisan collective, Potter’s Workshop.  Handmade crafts and one-of-a-kind discoveries collected during recent visits to Cape Town and Johannesburg round out the assortment. Several of West Elm’s signature furniture pieces have also been updated for Fall including new finishes on the Parsons collection and a tufted version of the popular Tillary sofa.

As in other West Elm locations, associates at the Scarsdale store will be focused on helping customers express their personal style at home. Together they can work on space planning and customized design projects utilizing the tools available at the store’s Design Lab, or in a customer’s home – all free of charge. West Elm Scarsdale is open Monday-Friday 10-7, Saturday 10-8, and Sunday 11-6.
