Scarsdale Police Log: Arrest, Stolen EZ Pass, Noisy Youths

Excerpts from the Scarsdale Police Log. The following information was supplied by the Scarsdale Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, March 9

10:30 p.m. Scarsdale Police arrested a White Plains man on Scarsdale Avenue at Popham Road on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a safety glass violation. The driver had tinted windows, "darker than the legal limit," according to a police report. Also, the driver had suspended driving privileges for driving while intoxicated. The driver was booked and released on cash bail.

9:12 p.m. Police responded to a larceny on Crossway. A caller reported that someone stole his EZ-Pass from his vehicle.

9:50 p.m. Police responded to a past burglary on Fairview Road.

11:39 p.m. Scarsdale Police responded to a call for a disturbance outside of a home on Fox Meadow Road. A patrol responded, and according to the report, "found numerous youths in front" of the residence. The youngsters told the cops they were "waiting for their rides" and police did "not observe any of the youths to be in possession of or to have consumed any alcoholic beverages." Their parents arrived to pick them up.

Monday, March 12

11:55 a.m. Police responded to an auto accident on Heathcote Road. Police responded to the scene where a driver from White Plains stated that someone hit his truck at the location.

7:43 p.m. Police responded to a larceny. A caller reported that his bike was stolen.

Wednesday, March 14

6:35 p.m. Police responded to a noise complaint on Ogden Road. Police spoke with the homeowner, who informed police that "her children were playing in the yard while listening to their radio." The homeowner turned off the music.
