Making Friends in Scarsdale

1. Scarsdale Child Movie: A presentation of "It's So Much Work to Be Your Friend" by Rick Lavoie. Sub-titled "Helping the Child with Learning Disabilities Find Social Success," this movie draws on three decades of experience in residential schools to provide powerful strategies for teaching friendship skills in the classroom, the home and the community. The presentation will be followed by a discussion led by Andrea Tripodi and Elliot Cohen, Scarsdale Middle School psychologists. 2. Nutcracker The Musical: A simplified version of  Tchaikovsky’s famous score, this unique version of The Nutcracker captures the magic and fantasy of the ballet story. Tickets are $17.00 for Adults, $12.00 for Students/Seniors, and are available on the website www.risingstarspac.net or at the door. 6 p.m., Grinton Will Library, 1500 Central Park Ave, Yonkers.



3. WFAS—FM 103.9 and AM 1230—has long been the go-to place for weather-related delays and closings. They share their storm center with Channel 12.
