Scarsdale Today: Small Business Workshop; SummerFest Concert Series; Digital Music Creation

  • Musician Kurt Gallagher will be holding a Digital Music Creation tutorial for teens on Wednesday night. This class is perfect for teenagers who have ever been interested in making music on their computers, but are not sure how to go about it. Gallagher will instruct students on exactly this. This fun and educational opportunity will help anyone interested endure upon a creative and exciting hobby. The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Greenburgh Public Library, and refreshments will be served.  

 

  • A free workshop is being offered tonight by SCORE Westchester, entitled, “Business Process Improvement – Using Techniques Large Companies Have Adapted for Small Businesses.” Led by Bernard Borowski, this event will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and begs the question, change is inevitable, is your business ready? The topics discussed will included prioritization, root cause analysis, employee engagement and conflict resolutions. Click here to register.

  • The Scarsdale Public Library is holding Stories Under the Stars tonight for children ages 3 and a half to five years old. The event will take place outside from 7 to 7:30 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, join together in the children’s room. Pre-registration is not required, and feel free to come in your pajamas!

 

  • The SummerFest Concert Series at the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers will continue tonight at 7 p.m. The featured band of the free event is Shotgun Wedding, a city-country band, who re-invents favorites from Patsy Cline to Merle Haggard and even Carrie Underwood.
