Scarsdale Today: Law and Land Use Committees Joint Meeting; Children's Concert; Storytime

  • There will be a joint meeting of the Law and Land Use Committees of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Scarsdale this Tuesday at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Third Floor Meeting Room in village hall. The topics on the agenda are land use and zoning regulations, set backs, FAR, lot coverage, building coverage, wetlands, bulk in the five corners and sensitive draining areas.

  • Robert the Guitar Guy (Robert Markowitz) is a children’s singer, guitarist, songwriter, educator and recording artist who has written over six dozen children’s songs, and has three CD’s. He will be playing today at the Scarsdale Library from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Registration is required for this program. To do so, call (914) 722-1300.

 

  • Scarsdale today will have a high of 77 degrees and a low of 62. There will be scattered thunderstorms and showers in the morning, and it will be partly cloudy in the afternoon.

 

  • The Scarsdale Library will also be holding Drop-In Storytime today at 4 p.m., and will run until 6 p.m. The event is appropriate for children ages 3 ½ to 5 years, and registration is not required. For more information, call (914) 722-1300.

  • Wave Hill Public Garden and Cultural Center is holding Stories in the Garden today for children ages three and up. The event is free, and admission to the grounds is free all day long. Stories in the Garden will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature a delightful reading adventure with nature themed storybooks.
