1. 2013 Eastchester Fire Commissioner Election: The Eastchester Fire Commissioner’s election will be held Tuesday to appoint a member of the Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners for a term of five years. The Eastchester Fire District is a separate and autonomous unit of government that serves Eastchester, Bronxville, as well as Tuckahoe. The election has seen sparse attention from voters in recent years, with participation of only about 4 percent of the eligible electorate.
