350° Classic Bakeshop in Rye Receives “2012 Best of Westchester” Award for Signature Chocolate Fudge Peanut Butter Cupcake
The 350° Classic Bakeshop in Rye was named winner for their chocolate fudge peanut butter cupcake in “Westchester Magazine’s 2012 Best of Westchester” Awards. Opened less than one year, 350° Classic Bakeshop is located at 30 Elm Place in Rye, and sells cupcakes and other baked goods, plus hosts baking classes, and offers space for parties and catered events.
The editors of “Westchester Magazine” gave the bakeshop a “Best” ranking for their chocolate fudge peanut butter cupcake. The editors wrote: “This peanut-buttery chocolate cupcake is one of 350°’s ‘signature filled cupcakes,’ but it only appears on this cute Rye bakery’s baking schedule on Wednesdays and Saturdays. No matter. We’ve found that if you stock up like crazy mid-week, and then drop by again on the weekend, you can keep these delicious beauties around all the time. Mwahahahaha.”
For the magazine’s celebration party for all the “2012 Best” winners at the Glen Island Harbor Club, the 350° Classic Bakeshop baking team baked over 1,100 mini cupcakes, 600 frosted spoons and 400 cookies which they gave to the more than 3,000 attendees. Photographed at the celebration (l to r) were the 350° Classic Bakeshop baking team, Maeghan Casale, baker; Keyes Clemmer, owner and executive pastry chef; and Christina Quesada, baker.
The 350° Classic Bakeshop is open Sundays 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays to Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and closed Mondays. To learn more, call 914-967-2379 or visit http://350Classicbakeshop.com.
