LSW Chauffeured Transportation Announces Exclusive Contract with MAC Angels Foundation

LSW gives back to ALS support group through chauffeured services

White Plains, N.Y. – (November 06, 2012) –LSW Chauffeured Transportation is pleased to announce its new partnership with the MAC Angels Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting families with ALS. LSW’s contract with MAC Angels will provide volunteers, families and supporters access to exclusive, chauffeured limousines for on-demand transportation to any location. LSW will give back a portion of its revenues from MAC Angels Foundation to the charity.

Inspired by Claire Collier, who lost her battle to ALS in 2009, the MAC Angels Foundation’s objective is to enhance the quality of life for patients, family members and caregivers affected daily by ALS by providing the compassion, education and unique resources needed to manage the devastating effects of this disease. MAC Angels help to create and organize personal support systems, navigate the complex and costly legal process involved in seeking insurance coverage, help make informed choices about treatment and care and help families to re-configure their living spaces to accommodate a person living with ALS.

“LSW has a personal connection to MAC Angels,” said Melissa Thornton, CEO of LSW Chauffeured Transportation. “The mother of a long-time LSW employee has been diagnosed with this terrible disease. We have observed first-hand MAC Angels’ quality service and the support they provide to patients and the families affected. We are so pleased to formulate this partnership.”

LSW has donated a round-trip local airport transportation service to the MAC Angels Foundation 2012 Gala Benefit Silent Auction. Due to Hurricane Sandy, the benefit, honoring Richard J. Hans and DLA Piper LLP, has been postponed to December 8th at the Breaburn Country Club.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
