5 Things You Need to Know This Week: Art, Music and Storytelling
5 things you need to know for the week.
1. is a sordid tale about a family of Jewish immigrants. This coming of age movie is showing at the JCC Mid-Westchester on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Scarsdale. The event is open to all ages and tickets cost $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors.
2. is an event on Wednesday where Lou Del Bianco talks about how his grandfather, Luigi Del Bianco, contributed to carving Mount Rushmore. This event is at 6:30 p.m. and held in the Westchester Italian Cultural Center in Tuckahoe. Tickets are $10 and the ages 4 and up are welcome.
3. Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester is holding an art exhibit called this Monday at 2 p.m. in Scarsdale. The Artist Reception portion will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. This is a free event.
4. Pets Alive Westchester is hosting a all week and all day in Elmsford. The adoptable cats are all spayed/neutered and have been given up-to-date shots, as well as micro-chipped.
5. musicians are performing in the Downtown Music at Grace series on Wednesday at 12 p.m. in White Plains. The half-hour performance will cost $10.
