A Few Power Outages, Lots Of Sun In Scarsdale

Con Ed is reporting a handful of power outages remain after last night's storm. The forecast is looking like spring for Thursday, although a wind advisory remains until 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday night's spring-like storm brought down a few trees and wires in Scarsdale and created problems for some of the Con Ed customers in town.

About 105 of the 6,025 Con Ed customers lost power during the storm, according to John Goodwin of the Village Manager's Office.

As of 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Con Ed reports that about 50 customers still remain without power. The expected restoration time is 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

Despite the sunny, warm temperatures today, the National Weather Service's wind advisory for the area remains in effect through 6:00 p.m. tonight.

Today Scarsdale will see sunshine with a high temperature of 56 degrees and wind gusts getting up to 48 MPH, according to the NWS.

The warm, blustery weather will be a stark contrast to the high of 33 degrees Scarsdale is expected to see Friday.
