Five Things for the Week Ahead: Trains, Jazz Soirees and a Tree Lighting

5 things you need to know this week.

1. The  is celebrating its 20th Annual Holiday Train Show kicking off tonight. The event goes on all through the week and will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Display cases will feature eminiatures of trains, bridges and New York landmarks, and a film will be screened as well. Prices are $20 for adults and $18 for children.

2.  is a Scarsdale Woman’s Club event being held Wednesday at 1 p.m. There will be choral singers, a pottery exhibit and a holiday boutique. Pottery and wreaths will be for sale. The event is free.

3. This Thursday, a will be taking place in New Rochelle at 6 p.m. The event is free and will be held at Main Street and Memorial Highway. An added bonus -- Santa Claus will be a special guest.

4.  in the Bronx is holding its First Friday series. With the additional romance of candlelight, there will be jazz, a mansion tour and refreshments. The event will have a Christmas theme, which will include holiday stories and a cappella music by the Metropolitones. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and go to 8:30 p.m. Event fee is $8.

5. This Friday, the  will be performing at the Paramount Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. The event costs $45.
