Five Things You Need to Know Today: Holiday Shopping, Life Across The Pond and Green Homemaking

Discover what it's like to live in England, help raise money for pediatric cancer with your holiday shopping and research the cost-effectiveness of constructing a green home.

4. Do you think you can dance? So does Max Kapitannikov, a finalist on Fox's hit dance competition and reality show who is now teaching an  at . So how much does America really resemble England? Today, the JCC of Mid-Westchester will host speaker Susan Teitzer Schwartz, who will discuss the myriad differences and similarities Americans share with their friends across the Pond. Teitzer's lecture will run from 10:30 a.m.-noon. 
  • Have you ever woken up after a bad dream wondering not only where you are, but who you are? Judith Menken and Faye Schneider will explore complex themes of age and self-awareness today while performing their self-written and directed play "Who Am I? The Identity Crisis of a Middle Aged Boomer" from 1-2:30 p.m.
