Five Things You Need to Know Today: Green Design Expo Holds Forum, Snooki Comes to White Plains and Sarah Lawrence Named Nation's Most Expensive College

Find out which colleges were named the most expensive in the nation by Forbes Magazine, attend a sustainable design forum at Green Design Expo and find out when Snooki will be closer to the Sound Shore than the "Jersey Shore."

1. Whether you think she's hilarious or heinous, one thing's for sure: Snooki from "The Jersey Shore" has everyone talking about her latest book, "Confessions of a Guidette." On Oct. 27, Snooki will be visiting the White Plains Barnes and Noble for an in-store book signing -- and White Plains Patch has scored an exclusive interview with the Poufed Princess herself. 

2. Kermit once sang that it "ain't easy being green," but would beg to differ. Tonight, the Village's local supply center for organic and environmentally-friendly products will be hosting a educating architects, design professionals and homeowners interested in sustainable design about perspective green issues and priorities. 3. In an age of "Mommy and Me" pottery classes, yoga sessions and shopping sprees, here's one activity that's a designated dad's-only session: tonight's At this event, dads and kids are given free reign work out together from 5:30-7:30 p.m. while giving moms a much-needed night off. This event is free for members, $5 for non-members, and is open to ages ranging from infant to 5.

4. If you're hoping that your college-bound senior will stay local next year and attend Sarah Lawrence College, you'll be interested to know that recently named it the most expensive college in the country.
