1. It’s mid-week, meaning there’s a ton of meetings today. Shall we go down the litany? Try not to read them all out loud – or attend each one, for that matter. You’ll either run out of breath, lose that buzz you’re still riding from your first cup of coffee or fall into a weary Wednesday slump. Today’s agenda includes: A Scarsdale Woman’s Club meeting at 2 p.m., a Girl Scout Leader meeting at 7:30 p.m., a Scarsdale Adult School Advisory community meeting at 7:30 p.m., an Junior League of Central Westchester meeting at 7:45 p.m. and a Scarsdale Teen Center Board Meeting at 8 p.m. Whew.

2. Registration for cheerleading and tumbling programs for girls from Kindergarten to 8th Grade ends tomorrow. Visit the Village website online to find out program details.

3. Last fall, D’Errico Jewelers honored Nicola Briggs, the Bronxville Tai Chi instructor who defended herself against a sexual predator on a New York subway train, with an awards ceremony and a diamond peace sign necklace. Tonight, the 5th Annual Women’s Awards in New York City will be commending Briggs’s bravery as well! The event will take place at The Stonewall Inn on 53 Christopher Street from 7 – 10 p.m. To purchase tickets for the 5th Annual Women’s Awards, e-mail zosherafatain@kurlandassociates.com

4. April showers don’t just bring May flowers. They also bring taxes. If you know someone who speaks Spanish and needs help with their taxes, advise them to stop by 120 Bloomingdale Road in White Plains between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. today. Helpers will be present to ensure that all forms get filled out correctly. Just make sure to bring Social Security cards, Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, proof of foreign status if applying for an ITIN, copies of last year’s federal and state tax returns, wage and earning forms from all employers and bank routing numbers and account numbers.
