Flash Flood, Wind Watch For Scarsdale Tonight

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch, wind advisory for Southern Westchester for Wednesday, Jan. 30.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for Southern Westchester due to expected, heavy rain tonight. The watch is in effect starting at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

There could be urban and small stream flooding, thunderstorms and rain falling at about an inch per hour, according to NWS. Also, the NWS issued a high wind warning for Southern Westchester, which is in effect from 6:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. Thursday.

In Scarsdale today, be ready for rain mostly after 3:00 p.m. and wind gusts up to 29 MPH. The high temperature could reach 59 degrees, according to the NWS.

Tonight, folks in Scarsdale can expect scattered showers, thunderstorms, patchy fog and wind gusts up to 55 MPH, according to the NWS.

Thursday looks to be a bit of brighter day, with partly sunny skies and a high of 38 degrees.
