Get Out: A Scarsdale Patch Weekend Guide For February 22-25

Get a jump start on celebrating the weekend and enjoying your time away from work and school. Here are a few local events to help you and your family have some fun. TGIF!

1. Want to add a cat or kitten to your family? Be sure to check out the Yonkers Humane Society Adoption Event on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Adult cats and kittens will be available for adoption.

2. Calling all art lovers. Tonight, check out the art at ARTizFACTS gallery in New Rochelle at 7:00 p.m. View the winter exhibit and sale in the art exhibit gallery space.

3. For the little artists, bring the kids over to Gymboree Play & Music of Scarsdale for a Weekend Art class. The free trial is for children ages 3-5 years. The class starts Saturday at 9:45 a.m.

4. Also for the kiddos, there is a on Saturday February 22 at 10:00 a.m. The Danbury Fair Kids Club includes games, activities, a children's show, crafts and more–all for free.

5. For the music lovers, the Brian Carter Quartet is performing on Sunday, February 24 at 2 p.m. at the White Plains Public Library. New Rochelle native Brian Carter is bringing his jazz quartet to White Plains, playing traditional and fusion jazz. For more information, call 914-422-1480.
