The “Grab & Go Kids Planner” appears every Wednesday, just in time for you to take a brief mid-week breather and start thinking ahead towards the upcoming weekend. The planner will include local, low-cost activities, along with the occasional far-flung, pricier, but oh-so-worth it city sojourn.

Why Go: Hotcakes, sausage, coffee and a maple syrup-making demonstration. Mmm.

Where: The Voracious Reader, 1997 Palmer Ave, Larchmont,

When:  Saturday, March 19, 2 – 3 p.m.

Why Go: Listen to Dean Hacohen, author of the bedtime book “Tuck Me In,” read stories while your kid snuggles in your lap clad in his or her favorite jammies. And yes, there will be milk and cookies! New pajamas brought to The Voracious Reader will be donated to the Pajama Program, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Where: Beth El Synagogue Center, 1324 North Ave, New Rochelle

When: Saturday, March 19, 6:15 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate Purim with ventriloquist Jonathan Geffner and his posse of puppet pals! Geffner will perform Megillah Mishegoss, light refreshments will be served and the Megillah will be read by teenagers at 8 p.m.

Where: Lake Isle Country Club, 660 White Plains Rd, Eastchester,

When: Saturday, March 19, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 20, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Why Go: View the latest in runway wear for your daughter and her equally fashionable American Girl Doll. Funds raised will support the Junior League of Central Westchester's children's programs.

When: Sunday, March 20, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Learn the "bare bone" facts about animals by examining their skeletons.
