Grab & Go Kids Planner: Pumpkin Carving, Halloween Parade and Trick-or-Treating Adventures
Fun weekend events for the kids.

Where/When: The New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Blvd., Bronx, Saturday & Sunday, October 22 & 23, all day.
Why Go: Food Network Challenge winner Ray Villafane displays his master pumpkin carving skills. Villafane will carve two giant pumpkins into a life-like, frightful sculpture. Visitors will be allowed to take photos and to talk to the artist.
Pricing: Adults: $20; students/seniors: $18; children 2–12: $8; children
under 2: free; members: free.

Where/When: The New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Blvd., Bronx, Saturday, October 22, 6-7:30 p.m.
Why Go: You and your child get to venture into the pumpkin sculpture garden at night, where you can meander along trick-or treat paths. Attendees can also decorate their own pumpkin to take home with them.
Pricing: Kids of all ages: Non-member $20/member $15

Where/When: Greenburgh Nature Center, 99 Dromore Rd., Scarsdale, Sunday, October 23, 1-3:30 p.m.
Why Go: Young, costumed children can come to enjoy a pumpkin trail, drink cider and eat treats. There will also be a variety of activities, including getting “tattooed.” Contact Juliana Leshi at 914-723-3470.
Pricing: Free if pre-registered by Oct. 22; members $4; non-members $7 (online pre-registration only); day of event: members $6, non-members $9.

Where/When: Wave Hill, W. 249th St & Independence Ave., Bronx, Saturday, Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Why Go: Free art projects for the family (in the Ecology Building). Free admission to the grounds until noon.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: The Haunt at Rocky Ledge, 1402 Old Orchard St., White Plains, Sunday, October 23, 12-3 p.m.
Why Go: Children 10 years and up can enjoy playing games, do arts and crafts and be entertained.
Pricing: $10.
