Scarsdale is gearing up for its big, annual book sale at the library — and you only have until August 24 to donate your books. Organizers are asking people like you to donate their lightly used booked for the event. You can leave them inside the gray door at the side of the Scarsdale Library.
Typically, there are more than 60,000 books for sale when the annual event begins. There will be a special preview on September 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. for members. The actual sale runs through September 15.
"They begin planning in late April, early May," said BuzzPotential Marketing Executive Mike Dardano, who is getting the word out about the event. "Book donations and sorting into categories begin on July 5th and continue right up until the sale, with clean up and charitable donations their work ends by the end of September."
