Missing Ferret? Contact The Weinberg Nature Center

The WNC in Scarsdale is looking to reunite the lost pet with owner.

This furry friend sought out some shelter from Friday's downpours, but now the Weinberg Nature Center in Scarsdale wants to find the ferret's owner.

On Friday at about 11:00 a.m., the critter "wandered through the woods" of the Weinberg Nature Center grounds. As soon as staff opened the front door and "whispered calmly, in no time at all a ferret ran in from the rain and made himself at home," Katherine Murphy of the WNC said.

The center is fostering the pet temporarily but is desperately seeking to find the lost critter's owner.

If you are missing a pet ferret, contact Cindy or Kate 914-722-1289 at the WNC or email  info@weinbergnaturecenter.org today.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
