New Partnership With Teen Center And Rotary

The Center@862 and the Rotary Club of Scarsdale are pleased to announce that they have entered into a joint venture to bring an Interact Club to Scarsdale and the surrounding communities.

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 14 to 18 and is open to all. Interact is the fastest-growing program of Rotary International with more than 10,700 clubs in 109 countries. Interact has become a worldwide phenomenon with almost 200,000 young people involved in Interact.

The Interact club of Scarsdale will be a community based club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Scarsdale. Like thousands of other Interact clubs world-wide, the Interact Club will be self-governing and self-supporting. Both the Rotary Club of Scarsdale and the staff of The Center@862 will provide support and guidance.

Each year, Interact clubs complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill. Through these efforts, Interactors develop a network of friendships locally and internationally.

The Interact Club will be holding its first meeting on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 6:30 pm at the Center located at 862 Scarsdale Avenue.
