Patch User Spotlight: Summer Days; Dog Adoption; And Voices of Sept. 11

Our Patch users are blogging, posting and sharing photographs of their hometowns every day on Patch. With so much amazing content to choose from, Patch is shining the spotlight on a few blogs, events and announcements each week from Westchester and Fairfield.

Just as summer is coming to an end, and the back-to-school rush is set to start, our Darien Patch Blogger Rachel Reese blogs about ways to keep volunteering during the school year. Check out her tips on how to keep the volunteer spirit going here.

And take a moment to soak in those last, lazy days of the summer and reflect. Read Lindley Pless, The Sentimentalist's Blog "August Musings," on Greenwich Path today.

Check out how these student interns from Voices of September 11th in New Canaan interviewed reporters at CBS News in NYC about how they covered the 9/11 attacks. Blogger Sam Kramer writes that "A presentation of their findings will be held at the New Canaan Library on August 27 at 6:00 PM."

Looking for a "fur-ever" friend? Get the details on this weekend's pet adoption event in Westchester on Rye Patch's boards today. Check out "Pepe Infiniti hosts the Fur-Ever Home Dog Adoption Event at The Westchester" here.
