Winds Whip Scarsdale

Wind gusts kept the temps on the lower side of the forecast Thursday.

Although the sunshine warmed up the Village of Scarsdale for a while Thursday, the wind gusts kept folks needing the coats, hats and gloves.

A wind advisory for the area lasted until 6:00 p.m. and brought gusts up to 48 MPH. Did anyone actually enjoy the forecasted high of 56 degrees? By late afternoon, walking in the shade proved to be a chilly outing.

Today, keep the winter gear handy. The high will reach about 32 degrees and the low will be a mere 17 degrees in Scarsdale. The wind gusts, which could reach up to 32 MPH, will make for a frigid Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
