Scarsdale, Edgemont and Greenburgh drivers should plan ahead for some alternate routes and possible traffic tomorrow.
According to Greenburgh Police Chief Joseph J. DeCarlo, some Popham Road Bridge Replacement Project construction will impact drivers' routes on Tuesday, December 3, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Plan for eastbound and westbound lane closures over the Popham Road Bridge.
DeCarlo said in an announcement that the "bridge lane closures are necessary for contractors to saw cut surface grooves in the new concrete deck."
The following are the detours and alternate routes:
- Westbound Popham Road vehicular traffic will be detoured south on Scarsdale Avenue west to Harney Road and north to Garth Road back to Popham Road.
- Eastbound Popham Road vehicular traffic will be detoured south on Garth Road east to Harney Road and north on Scarsdale Avenue back to Popham Road.
The Popham Road Bridge Replacement Project has been ongoing since 2010.
