Popham Road Bridge to Close on Thursday For Concrete Pour

The Village of Scarsdale to close structure from 9:30 a.m. until 6 a.m. Friday.

The Village of Scarsdale has scheduled a complete closure of the Popham Road Bridge to motorized vehicles from 9:30 a.m. on Thursday to Friday at 6 a.m. Pedestrians will still be allowed access to the bridge.

The scheduled closing will occur due to ongoing construction. Contractors will pour concrete deck on the bridge's north side, which will require time to cure.

A traffic detour has been marked off for the bridge closure with detour signs, which will help avoid expected traffic delays. Drivers should use alternate routes and avoid Scarsdale Avenue and Popham, Garth and Harney roads. Police personnel will be on site to assist with traffic control.
