Remember When to Water Your Lawn

Scarsdale's water alert continues, as do officials' pleas to conserve.

The Village of Scarsdale remains under a Water Alert—remember to check the  schedule and map for your part in the mandatory restrictions.

Village officials also urge residents to voluntarily conserve, and offer this resource from the EPA for ways to use water more efficiently.

The situation was caused by a double water pump failure at the village’s main water pumping station. The Water Emergency declared July 20 was downgraded to an Alert July 23.

"These lawn watering restrictions will remain in effect for the balance of the summer and fall, unless otherwise determined by the superintendent of water," said Scarsdale Assistant Village Manger John Goodwin.

Village officials say that any questions should be directed to the Water Department at 914-722-1138.
