Scarsdale Public Library Presents Events For Kids This Month

Let's Talk Turtles and Arbor Day events start this Sunday, April 22.

Keeping local children involved in community activities and entrenched in a love of books is the goal of the leading into the spring of 2012. As most kids are looking forward to an end to the school year and the beginning of the lazy days of summer, the library aims to keep them interested and having fun with learning.

The following instructor-led classes scheduled for this April 2012 are free to join.

Let’s Talk Turtles is being held Sunday, April 22 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Scott Room at the Scarsdale Public Library. This event is for kids ages four and up.

An expert from the will be on hand to fill you in on everything turtle! The class also includes a trip down to the library pond to meet the turtles in person.

On Saturday, April 28, the library is holding an Arbor Day Celebration for all ages from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Celebrate Arbor Day at the Library and speak for the trees, just like the Lorax!
