Update 9:03 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014: The National Weather Service has issued a "Hazardous Weather Outlook" effective until 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Update 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014: Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner announced that the town's garbage collection was on schedule after the snow storm.

"The highway crews did a great job clearing the snow yesterday, last night and early this morning," Feiner said in a statement. "The sanitation crews are working today - no disruption of public works services."

Original story: Temperatures will remain cold Wednesday as frigid winds return to Scarsdale and the rest of Westchester County, according to AccuWeather.com.

Highs today will only reach the teens, and lows will be in the single digits and come close to zero.

“In the wake of the snow, the door will open for cold air to settle across the entire East for midweek,” AccuWeather.com wrote on its website. “Highs on Wednesday will be held 10 to 20 degrees below normal, even down to Miami.”

Tuesday night, the Scarsdale School District announced a two-hour delayed opening on Wednesday due to the inclement weather.

"Students who are eligible for District transportation will be picked up at their normal bus stops two hours later than usual," wrote Linda S. Purvis, Scarsdale's Assistant Superintendent for Business and Facilities, in an email to parents to staff. "If there is any change to this plan, you will receive a call [Wednesday] morning. The Community Budget Forum that was scheduled fortomorrow morning at 10am has been postponed until Wednesday, January 29 at that time."
