Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Scarsdale

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Westchester County Monday.

Another wave of wild, is in store for Scarsdale today.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Scarsdale area.

Folks in Westchester County can expect "scattered to numerous thunderstorms to develop this afternoon and evening," the NWS stated.

The severe weather could produce lightening, damaging wind gusts, heavy rain and hail, according to the NWS.

This afternoon's high of 87 degrees will feel hot compared to tonight's low of 73 degrees.

On Tuesday, expect only a 20 percent chance of showers, according to the NWS.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
