Snowy Week In Store For Scarsdale

There could be a bit of snow each day this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Scarsdale could be in store for a snowy, first full-week of February. Although, it may not be enough fluff for snow forts and snowball fights.

Tonight, the village could see about 1/2 inch of powder. There is a 50 percent chance of snow for Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday, there is a 30 percent chance of snow showers before 9:00 a.m., and a 60 percent chance of snow showers Tuesday night. Do not expect snowman-blowing weather, Scarsdale. The total snowfall will be less than one inch, the NWS predicts.

Again on Wednesday and Thursday, there is a 30 percent of snow, and Friday will bring about a 40 percent chance of winter powder, according to the NWS.

However, as of Monday, the weekend looks free of precipitation with temps in the high 30s and low 40s.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
