Viewfinder: SMS Students Learn about Standing Up and Being a Change in the World

Last Thursday, students at Scarsdale Middle School learned about human rights.

Last Thursday, students at the Scarsdale Middle School learned about human rights. The event, "Stand Up and Be the Change: Human Rights Conference 2011,"  was organized by two teachers at the middle school, Emma Wixted and Meghan Lahey.  These teachers brought in a wide range of speakers to talk with the school, including speakers from Me to We, My Sister's Place, The Westchester County District Attorney's office and other organizations.
