For an evening of Mexican history and culture, register for “Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo: The Art of Revolution,” which meets April 24, 2012. Rick Starr, faculty member at Rye Country Day School, will explore the imagery and style in Rivera’s murals as well as in the surrealist paintings of Kahlo, who was both Rivera’s wife and his artistic rival. The class will examine many of the works currently on display in the Rivera exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art. The one-session class costs $30 and meets from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m. at Scarsdale High School.
