Moon Bear Movie Screens In Westchester

Kai Madden will introduce his caged cause at the Tarrytown Music Hall on Oct. 9.

After raising a whopping $27,000 to aid moon bears by doing the Tough Mudder race, Westchester's Kai Madden is taking his passion to the people.

He’s hosting – and introducing – a screening of a moon bear documentary, Cages of Shame, on October 9 at 7:30 p.m. to educate and fundraise.

Cages of Shame, directed by Martin Guinness and narrated by Emmy Award Winner Peter Coyote, tells the remarkable story of the rescue of 10 bears from a bile farm in Shandong Province, China. This inspiring film won the 2011 Humane Society of the United States Ace Documentary Grant.

Admission is $20; $10 for students, senior citizens and Music Hall members. All proceeds to benefit the Tarrytown Music Hall and the Animals Asia Foundation

A representative from Animals Asia will be on hand for a Q&A with the audience afterwards.
