Here are few tips to toast 2013 in the comfort of your own home or out in the Village of Scarsdale tonight. Happy New Year!

Times Square and Las Vegas are the best places to celebrate New Year’s Eve, according to the major television networks. But why travel across the country or stand in the frigid cold to ring in the New Year when you can bring the celebration to Scarsdale?

For those wanting to keep tonight a little low-key, invite family, friends and neighbors to Scarsdale for a last-minute gathering.

There are plenty of restaurants and markets in Scarsdale that offer catering services. Try DeCicco Family Markets if you want American or Italian cuisine. Check out our Business Directory for a full list of restaurants and caterers right here in the Village of Scarsdale.

Something bubbly is key to any New Year's celebration. Try Vintology Wine & Spirits for wines and special vintages ranging in price from $10 to $200. Or stop by Zachy's for your bottle of bubbly to toast with party guests. Check out the full list of liquor stores in Scarsdale here.

Of course, no party is complete without a sweet treat. Set up a dessert table and lay out a variety of sweets. Buy holiday cakes and new holiday-inspired cookies from Lulu Cake Boutique, including eggnog Oreos, sour cherry linzers and cranberry-pecan rugelach. Or try mini-desserts and pastries from La Renaissance Patisserie–favorites include chocolate ganache and fresh berries tartlette. For the full list of bakeries in Scarsdale, click here.

The final touch to your party is the entertainment. Tune in to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest or NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly. Both specials feature the iconic Times Square ball drop and live music.

Want to go out, toast at midnight with a room full of folks and dance the last of 2012 away?
