Faulty Buckles Prompt Massive Car Baby Seat Recall

Evenflo has issued a voluntary recall of nearly 1.4 million car convertible baby seats due to concerns over harness buckles, the company announced Monday.

The crotch buckle on select models, which were manufactured from 2011 through 2014, "may become resistant to unlatching over time, due to exposure to various contaminants," such as food and beverages.

The company is providing free remedy kits to owners of the affected seats.
