Calling all candy lovers. Our next Scarsdale Patch "Office Hours" is being held at Scarsdale 5th Avenue Chocolate Works (5th Avenue Chocolatiere) on September 27.

From 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Scarsdale Patch will be at the candy shop at 450 Central Park Avenue, ready to answer all of your Patch questions.

Whether you are doing some early Halloween-candy shopping, have a sweet tooth in need of some chocolate or are out running errands, stop by to say hello, meet your Scarsdale Patch editor and learn all about Patch.com.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
