Mrs. Greens' Expands Healthy Products, Produce Across North America

Mrs. Green's Natural Market is opening its 17th and 18th stores far away from its Westchester home—in West Windsor, NJ and in Ontario.

It's part of a large-scale expansion program the Irvington-based company is undertaking. In its announcement yesterday, reported in digitaljournal.com, the company said it was planning 20 new locations in the Northeast and Midwest United States and in Canada this year with a long-term goal of 100 stores.

The first Mrs. Green's Natural Market opened in Scarsdale, in 1990. The company now has stores across the Hudson Valley and western Connecticut and in NYC, Chicago, Fairfax VA, and Calgary and Ontario in Canada.

"We’re thrilled to announce our first New Jersey market will open at 64 Princeton Hightstown Road (a stone’s throw from the Princeton Junction station)," the company says on its website.

"We are excited to open our doors in a new Canadian community, and thrilled to provide our new neighbours with a great shopping experience," Robin S. Michel, Chief Executive Officer of Mrs. Green's Natural Markets said in the announcement. "We know that Burlington residents, like many Canadians, care about the food they eat and the companies they support, and we look forward to bringing our focus on partnerships with local farmers, organic suppliers around the world, and our commitment to sustainability to this community."
