Scarsdale Business Spotlight: Last Licks Serving Up Summer Treats

From candy to cones, the Scarsdale ice cream shop stays busy year-round.

Combining all-things New York Yankees with an all-American love of ice cream, the new in Scarsdale has a little bit of everything sweet. The ice cream shop–which includes an old-fashioned, diner-style counter to enjoy a frozen treat indoors–also sells sports memorabilia from the Steiner Sports company.

The Scarsdale business, located on Palmer Avenue, often hosts f at special autograph sessions.

Dimitrios Katechis, owner of Last Licks, took over the shop in September 2011. He partnered with the Steiner family and Gregory Kassimis, owner of the adjoining Metro-Deli.

Last Licks hosts private birthday parties at the shop, where kids can scoop their own ice cream. The store also gets involved with local charities and hosts several sports-related signings each year.
