owner and Eastchester resident Dean Morretta has been operating his business on Palmer Ave since 2008.
The wine shop at 10 Palmer Avenue in Scarsdale, which he gutted and refinished, has been the site of a liquor store since 1933 and Morretta is happily continuing the tradition.
Today, the wine shop sells a variety of wines at a variety of prices.
"The most important thing here is that service is key for us and the selection," Morretta said. "We choose every wine that we have in here."
The owner, who has been in the wine business for the past 25 years, said he enjoys running a shop in a community that "appreciates wine and loves wine."
On top of wine sales, which also includes delivery service for customers, Vintology hosts special events, tastings, parties and more.
Media Coordinator Elizabeth Miller, a former teacher with a restaurant background, said the shop hosts "Vintology After Dark," a private tasting and wine education for all occasions, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
Every Saturday, the shop hosts a wine tasting which is open to the public.
Some of the upcoming events include "," a guided wine tasting from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. on June 7, and on June 9, the shop is holding a private tour of COMB Distillery.
