Scarsdale Mom's New Company All About Favors

I Love Favors is the new company Maren Lewis recently launched.

This Scarsdale mother was inspired by her kids' frequent birthday party invites to start her own company. After receiving all kinds of candy and sugar-coated treats at classmates' and friends' parties, she decided to create her own line of party favors–no sugar added.

Now, Maren Lewis runs I Love Favors, a personalized favor, gift and baby gift company from her Scarsdale home.

The 36-year-old mother of two kicked off her company at the start of 2012 and now, she is busy personalizing and painting gifts by hand. Her dining room has become her "favor table"

"This was something I thought I could do," Lewis said. "It would be fun and I could be creative."

Lewis, who previously worked in corporate finance for the hotel industry, personalizes the favors and gifts all by hand.

"My products are very unique, fun and reasonably priced," she said.

From umbrellas to art boxes to banks to diaper cases, Lewis gets creative and personal with her company.

The entrepreneur said she does not include candy in her party favor orders, unless a client requests the sweet stuff.

Lewis personalizes and individually wraps each kids' favor for all the party attendees.
