Tenth Annual "Harvest Fest" to be Held Today at Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture

Rain or shine, the tenth annual Harvest Fest will be held tomorrow at Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture in Pocantico Hills. The program for this fundraising event begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m.

Ticket costs are $40 each for adults and $20 for children from 2 to 14. Parking cost is additional. To purchase tickets online for this one-day program, click here. 

At Harvest Fest will be:

  • Food-crafting stations. Includes apple pressing, grain grinding, bread baking, quick pickling
  • Farmers Market. Vendors selling seasonal fare
  • Hayrides. Additional pick up spots and new tour routes
  • Square Dancing. Conducted by a caller and with a band
  • Farm Demonstrations. Includes sheep moving, egg collecting, turkey feeding
  • Farm Olympics. Audience participation invited
  • Live Music. More than five bands will participate
The cost of admission to the Garden Lounge is $125 per person and includes reserved seating, beverages and light food tasting of wares provided by selected market vendors. Several admission packages are available with benefits such as family memberships and parking, priced from $500 to $5000.

The income generated from this event will be used to fund programs that include training or camp enrollment for apprentice farmers.
