Day 13: Scarsdale And Greenburgh Power Outage Update

As of Sunday morning, there are still a few hundred folks without power in both Scarsdale and Edgemont.

On the thirteenth day since Hurricane Sandy knocked out power to the area, there are still an estimated 85 Scarsdale residents and 294 Greenburgh residents without power today.

As of this Sunday morning, the 85 of 6,025 Con Ed customers in Scarsdale do not have power. According to the mayor's office, "Con Ed reports that power will be restored by 11:00 p.m. tonight."

Over in Greenburgh, Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said that the 294 Con Ed customers without power should expect power to be back today.

"Con Ed has assigned nine restoration crews to the town, 47 workers," Feiner said in an announcement. "Some people (example: Woodland Hills) lost power today but had power last week. Don't worry! Sometimes Con Ed shuts off power in one neighborhood so they can restore power elsewhere."

Feiner said he reported the new outages to Con Ed and he hopes "everyone is back up today."
