IN PHOTOS: Hurricane Sandy In Scarsdale

Winds picked up Monday afternoon around the Village of Scarsdale.

Although the Mayor of Scarsdale declared an official state of emergency for the village, and asked residents not to drive or park around village streets, a handful of folks were still out and about.

Around 3:00 p.m. today, pedestrians and drivers could be spotted around the Village of Scarsdale, just as the winds picked up. A bit of rain showered down on the village Monday afternoon.

In Scarsdale, about 23 Con Ed power outages have been reported as of 3:30 p.m. In Edgemont, one tree was downed, blocking off access to the road. Greenburgh Police were on scene keeping a cruiser with lights on at the entrance of the street off of Underhill Road.
