Traffic Advisory: More Lane Closures Thursday On BRP

Lane closures on the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers will take place form 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. October 11.

Bronx River lane closures, take two.

On Thursday, October 11, motorists should prepare for three lane closures on the Bronx River Parkway. The lanes will be closed from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. while crews are working on replacing traffic sensors, according to the Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation.

The lanes to be closed are:

  • Southbound at Yonkers Avenue Bridge
  • Northbound at Yonkers Avenue Bridge
  • Northbound at Midland Avenue Bridge

Commuters should plan ahead and avoid the area between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. as traffic delays are expected.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
