Turkish Center Honors Scarsdale Mayor
Miriam Levitt Flisser, two other receive accolades.
Turkish Cultural Center of Westchester held its 2nd Annual Women’s Day Awards Ceremony, Tuesday at The Church of Our Lady of Shkodra Albanian Catholic Church in Hartsdale.
Three Westchester women were recognized by the TCC for their continued work to improve the lives of others: retired NYS senator Suzi Oppenheimer’s award was in recognition of her “Lifetime of Service”; Scarsdale's Mayor Miriam Levitt Flisser was honored for work in pediatric medicine and government and was the recipient of the Public Service Award; and Danielle Butin’s award for Humanitarian Relief Effort recognized her work in Haiti and Africa.
