Rob Astorino Wins Re-Election Over Challenger Noam Bramson

Update 11:05 p.m. A happy County Executive Rob Astorino thanked supporters for his victory over challenger Noam Bramson. 

We have to focus on what unites us, said Astorino in front of a cheering crowd at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. "Tomorrow we go back to work."

Astorino said he came into office four years ago because Westchester County was becoming unaffordable for the average family.

"I'm working hard to change that," he said. "We have more work to do and we need to find a healthy balance in government today to find a balance between what we want and what taxpayers can afford."

Update 10:32 p.m.: Noam Bramson concedes. 

"I end this campaign more committed to public service than I have ever been," he said. "The cause for which everyone of us worked will be just as important tomorrow as it is today."
