Amazing Afternoons: An Exhibition of Photographs by Steven Schnur

During the fall of 2013, Steve Schnur artfully photographed Westchester Reform
Temple adult congregant volunteers and Mitzvah teens at work and play with
children enrolled in Amazing Afternoons, an after school enrichment program at
the Edward Williams Elementary School, Mt. Vernon, NY.

Steve captured activities ranging from chess, sports and music to homework help
and literacy projects. Moreover, the images are an eye into the personal

relationships and friendships formed between WRT congregants and the children
participating in the Amazing Afternoons initiative.

This exhibition is mounted in conjunction with a performance by Amazing

Afternoons students during Westchester Reform Temple's annual Martin Luther

King, Jr. Shabbat Service (January 17, 2014) and an annual benefit concert for

Amazing Afternoons at the SUNY Purchase Recital Hall (January 25, 2014). For
