Author of Popular Young Readers Book to Speak at Scarsdale Library

Author Claire Legrand will discuss her popular novel "The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls" at the Scarsdale Public Library on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 pm.  Registration is requested at www.scarsdalelibrary.org.

The novel focuses on 12-year-old Victoria whose best friend, Lawrence, is missing. Not only is she confused and lonely, but no one in town seems to remember Lawrence.  Victoria is determined to find out what happened to him and gradually her questions lead her straight to the tall, gray-brick home at the end of her street were the bright-eyes Mrs. Cavendish lives.  The novel is an elegant nightmare that appeals to imaginative children with a sense of humor.
