Antiques Road Show appraiser, Nicholas Dawes, to speak
Nicholas Dawes, Heritage Auction appraiser, well-known for his frequent appraisals on PBS's Antiques Road Show, will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Connecticut Ceramics Study Circle.
His illustrated presentation will address the robust manufacture of Victorian ceramics in the context of social, economic, political and technical events of the time.
Majolica ware will be featured, a favorite of Mr. Dawes, who grew up in the Potteries in England and has 40 years experience in the world of antique ceramic.
