Celebrating Art History: The 100th Anniversary of the Famed Armory Show

Having just completed her course on George Bellows and the Ashcan School, Elizabeth Thompson Colleary returns to enlighten SAS students with “Celebrating Art History: The 100th Anniversary of the Famed Armory Show.” This retrospective pays homage to the European modernists and their American contemporaries whose works were shown at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City. The course coincides with many commemorative exhibitions in the area, most notably the one that opens next year at the New-York Historical Society.
